From the parking lot at the tourist office, or starting from the rail station, via Haltbergtal, after about 800 m turn right, the red marking towards Ascher. Continue along the blue marking over Haltbergweg and afterwards through the forest to Kaiserebenwiese. The blue marking to Blättertal and the red to Dürren Wand, the trail to the right brings you to Gauermannhütte and the left one leads you to Öhlerschutzhaus.
The descent leads you along the “old” Öhlerweg – the blue marking until Haltberghof and then 2 km on the Sierningstraße to the parking lot at the Spar market.
